Diabetes is a serious disease that is prevalent worldwide and increasing year by year. Diabetic foot ulcer is one of the main complications of diabetes.Substance P (SP) is a neuropeptide which plays an important role in wound healing and immune activity and is famous for its role in sensory nervous system. This article reviews the mechanism of SP promoting chronic wound healing in diabetic environment.
