Abstract:

Recent literatures on radiation-induced injury (RII) were searched in PubMed and SinoMed. Common ionizing radiation and factors of RII were summarized. More importantly, the molecular mechanism and gene regulation were analyzed. The radiosusceptibility of normal cell at different stage of cell cycle and cancer cell were discussed. Furthermore, symptoms and pathological mechanism of RII of different organs or tissues were briefly introduced. Finally, the authors also looked into the future of treating RII using stem cell therapy.
