Abstract:

The formation of venous thrombosis associated with peripherally inserted central venous catheter (PICC) is related to the factors of catheter placement, selection of catheter vein, factors related to disease, patients′ own factors, vascular endothelial damage and drug factors. By analyzing the above reasons, combined with imaging examination, clinical symptoms and laboratory indicators, diagnosis of venous thrombosis associated PICC can be made. Reasonable selection of catheter at the initial stage of PICC catheterization, comprehensive evaluation of patients, selection of nursing staff with relevant qualifications for catheterization and appropriate limb activities after PICC catheterization can prevent the formation of thrombosis, and provide reference for improving the nursing quality of infusion treatment during PICC retention and ensuring the safety of catheter use.
