Research progress of the phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B signaling pathway in the repair of skeletal muscle injury

Abstract:

Skeletal muscle injury repair is a complex biological process involving cell proliferation,differentiation,and tissue reconstruction,with diverse and interrelated regulatory mechanisms. The phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt) signaling pathway as one of the core signaling pathway regulating cell proliferation,survival,and metabolism,plays an important role in skeletal muscle injury repair,and is particularly critical in the activation of muscle satellite cells and the differentiation of myoblasts. However,the specific molecular mechanisms of this pathway in skeletal muscle injury repair still need to be further elucidated. This article reviews the research progress of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in the repair of skeletal muscle injury aiming to provide a reference for future studies.
