Abstract:

Burns are life-threatening severe traumas that not only cause physical impairment but also severely affect patient's appearance, thereby significantly increasing the risk of psychological problems. The incidence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in this population is relatively high, and the influencing factors are complex. In recent years, research on PTSD in burn patients has been growing, but the applicability of existing assessment tools and interventions in patients with different characteristics still needs further exploration. This article reviews the characteristics of burn patients with PTSD,influencing factors, commonly used screening scales, and non-pharmacological therapies in recent years, aiming to provide a reference for clinical assessment and intervention of PTSD in this population.
