Review and prospect of burn nutrition in China

Abstract:

After more than half a century of exploration on burn nutrition in China, a relatively complete theoretical system and treatment strategy have been formed, which has played an important role in burn comprehensive treatment. Based on a large number of historical literature, this paper reviews the glorious course of burn nutrition in the past 60 years. Using the changes of objectives, strategies and means in clinical nutrition as the main clues, the paper shows an overview of the four major stages in the development of burn nutrition, in order to reminisce the outstanding contributions of predecessors, show the achievements, analyze the problems, and explore the future direction of burn nutrition.
