Abstract:

Autologous platelet-rich plasma (au-PRP) is a platelet concentrate derived from autologous blood via centrifugation, which has been widely used in clinical practice owing to its pronounced tissue reparative and regenerative properties. However, its application is circumscribed by contraindications and relative contraindications, alongside potential attenuations in efficacy linked to factors such as age and basic diseases. Consequently, researchers have undertaken investigations into allogeneic platelet-rich plasma (al-PRP). This article comprehensively reviewed the feasibility and safety of al-PRP utilization, and the advantages, drawbacks and clinical applications of al-PRP.

Key words: Allogeneic platelet-rich plasma, Refractory wound, Motor system injuries
