Abstract:

The healing of complex and hard-to-heal wounds is influenced by multiple factors, significantly impacting the patient's physical and mental health as well as social economic burden. Therefore, seeking innovative strategies to accelerate the healing process of these wounds is particularly important.Autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has been widely recognized for its positive effect on wound healing, yet its clinical application is still limited due to various constraints. In contrast, allogeneic PRP, as a promising alternative approach, offers a new direction for clinical treatment. This review explores the mechanism of allogeneic PRP in promoting wound repair, presents clinical application examples in hard-toheal wounds, analyzes the safety and limitations of allogeneic PRP, and envisions its future development prospects.
