Abstract:

Interleukin is a class of inflammatory mediators. Proinflammatory interleukin plays an important role in the development of systemic inflammatory response syndrome, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, sepsis, and septic shock induced by burns. The proinflammatory interleukins involved in the inflammatory response after burn injury include interleukin-1, interleukin-6, interleukin-8, interleukin-18 and so on. This article will review the roles of proinflammatory interleukin in the inflammatory response after burn injury. Taking various effective measures to reduce inflammation medium at different times can improve the therapeutic effect of large area severe burn.

Key words: Burns, Interleukins, Systemic inflammatory response syndrome
