Progress in latest clinical combined application of negative pressure wound therapy

Abstract:

The negative pressure wound therapy(NPWT) is a surgical wound treatment technology which has been developed and matured in the past two decades. The practicality and efficacy of this technique are recognized by clinicians. In recent years, health care workers have made many improvements on the basis of using NPWT. For example, a combination of NPWT and physiotherapy can promote wound healing. Combined with instillation can make the wound surface hydration, it is conducive to strengthen debridement. A variety of different lavage fluid ingredients also plays positive role in promoting wound healing. By summarizing the latest clinical application and research progress of NPWT at home and abroad, this paper puts forward the authors′ views and opinions on the combined application of NPWT through analyzing the current situation.
