The new era needs to inherit and carry forward the hard work and passion of the old generation of burn medical workers

Abstract:

Burn medicine in China has developed for more than 60 years. In the times of poor conditions and many difficulties, the old generation of medical workers, with a strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for the burn cause, made extraordinary efforts, and achieved world-wide success with their hard-working hands and burning passion. The striking original results have contributed valuable wealth to burn medicine. Based on the published data, this paper briefly describes the achievements made in burn clinical treatment and basic research in my country before 2000, especially from the 1950s to the 1990s, briefly summarizes the narration according to the time axis of the occurrence of events. Its purpose is to inspire medical workers in the new era to seize opportunities, strive for strength, and make good use of modern good resources, earnestly study basic theories, attach importance to clinical practice, learn from foreign experience, and inspire us to carry forward the noble medical ethics, tenacious work and selfless dedication of our predecessors, and contribute to the national rejuvenation and the stronger burn cause in China.
