Abstract:

The chronic diabetic cutaneous wound healing is the problem of clinical practice and hot point of medical research. The effect of the current wound management is uncertain. It is fortunate that some new approaches and materials such as chitosan oligosaccride are approved along with the evolution of tissue regeneration and biotechnique. The results of chitosan oligosaccride applied on the wound dressing have been reported already and attracted more and more researchers′ attentions. But there are not many research on the chitosan oligosaccride and chronic dibetic wound healinng. In this review, the biological mechanism of chitosan oligosaccride promotion on the wound healing is introduced briefly at first. Secondly, the pathology of diabetic skin wound is described. At last, the research and progress of chitosan oligosaccride on diabetic wound healing are summed up.
