Research progress of hydrogen sulfide to promote wound healing

Abstract:

Hydrogen sulfide has been discovered as the third novel endogenous gas signal molecule founded after nitric oxide and carbon monoxide. Through the research of hydrogen sulfide in recent years, it has been proved that hydrogen sulfide involved in the pathophysiological process of the body widely. Wound healing is a complex pathophysiological process, it is also the final purpose and basic task in the treatment of acute and chronic wounds in clinical. The treatment effects of wound healing are related to the success or failure of the treatment and the quality of patients′ life in the later period. According to the factors that affect the wound healing, there are many treatments and drugs to promote wound healing in clinical. In this paper, the function and mechanism of hydrogen sulfide in wound healing are briefly reviewed, in order to provide some references for clinical treatment and research.
