Abstract:

With the development of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, platelet concentrate (PC) has been gradually applied in the treatment of chronic wounds. The development process and characteristics of three generations of platelet concentrates—platelet rich plasma(PRP), platelet rich fibrin (PRF) and concentrated growth factor (CGF) and their mechanisms in promoting wound healing have been summarized in this article. This paper also reviews the research progress and limitations of three generations of platelet concentrate in the treatment of chronic wound, and look forward to the application value and development bottleneck of platelet concentrate in wound repair.

Key words: Blood platelets, Platelet-rich plasma, Wound healing, Platelet-rich fibrin, Concentrated growth factor
